The Easter Bunny Is Hopping Into Town With These Spring Events

Spring has arrived and with it it is beautiful weather, flowers and bunnies.  Below is a list of the events happening throughout Orange County in celebration of Easter.

ALISO VIEJO:
The Aliso Viejo Community association will host their Spring Celebration Saturday, April 12th from 9am to 11:30am at Grand Park.  This free event will include egg hunts, visits with Peter Rabbit, face painting, bounce house, balloon twisters, entertainment, arts and crafts. A Community Pancake Breakfast will be held from 9am to 11am in the Aliso Viejo Town Center Foundation Area.

 

ANAHEIM:
4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Ronald Reagan Park is April 12th, held by the Anaheim Hills Rotary Club.  The event will be from 11am – 1:30pm and will include a dog costume dress up contest, egg hunt for children under 11 years old, photos with the Easter Bunny and kids games and crafts and a silent auction.

 

BREA:
The Easter Bunny is hopping into Brea Mall starting March 22nd through April 19th.  Make sure you stop by for pictures!

 

BUENA PARK:
Spring Egg-Citement takes place Saturday, April 19th at Henry Boisseranc Park: 7520 Dale Street.  Hosted by the Buena Park Parks and Rec department and Parn Noon Lions Club, a hot breakfast will start at 8am followed by stage entertainment, children’s crafts, field games, a petting zoo, moon bounce, visit with the Spring Bunny and a candy scramble for children 12 and younger.

 

DANA POINT:
The City of Dana Point will offer two Egg Hunts on Saturday, April 19th.   Pines Park, 34941 Camino Capistrano and Sea Canyon Park, 33093 Santiago Drive.  Activities begin at 9:00am and include:  Children’s Games, Petting Zoo, Easter Bunny Visits – bring your cameras.  The event concludes with an Egg/Candy Hunt which begins promptly at 10am for ages up to 10 years.

 

CERRITOS:
The Easter season kicks off at Los Cerritos Center on Saturday, March 29 with the annual Easter Bunny Garden Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Easter Bunny will host the garden event and lead children in a special Easter themed flowery craft. Bunny snacks will be provided courtesy of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers. All children who attend the event will receive a Buy One Get One Free 5 X 7” photo with the Easter Bunny. The event will take place in the Easter Garden located in front of Forever 21 and is free and recommended for children ages 3-12.
The Easter Bunny will remain in the Easter Garden for Bunny Photos from March 29 through April 19. The Easter Bunny is available for photos from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Various photo packages and pricing specials are available. When children visit the Easter Bunny for photos they will receive a special free gift!

 

COSTA MESA:
8Th Annual Costa Mesa Easter Festival & Treasure Hunt will be at the Orange County Market Place Saturday, April 19th 9:30am – 2:30pm.  There will be free photos with the Easter Bunny, Easter Brunch with gourmet food trucks (9:30am – 2:30pm) Treasure Hunt (10am-2pm) face painting, a puppet show (11am & 1pm) and more.  For a free admission coupon: https://ocmarketplace.com/contents/Entertainment.aspx#Easter

 

CYPRESS:
Cypress Recreation and Community Services hosts an Annual Spring Egg Hunt that takes place Saturday, April 19th at 10:30am.  This event is for children 11 and under and will be held at Oak Knoll Park: 5700 Orange Ave.  Activities included: egg hunt, crafts, face painting, visits with the Easter Bunny, free hot dogs and drinks.

 

FOUNTAIN VALLEY :
Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services Department hosts the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19th at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst Street from 8:30am-11:30am. Event includes free carnival games, crafts, balloon artists, inflatable rides, and more! Enjoy a pancake breakfast for $5, elephant rides for $5, and take pictures with the Easter Bunny for $2 each.

 

FULLERTON:
There will be a Family Easter Celebration at The First Presbyterian Church of Pooler: 838 N. Euclid St. on Saturday, April 19th.  The event runs from 10:00am-12:00pm and will include crafts, story telling, a bounce house, and an annual Egg Hunt.  Event is free however, you must register in advance.  Children 4 and under – hunt is at 9am.  Children 5 – 5th grade – hunt is at 10am.  Limited to 1,500 Children. GARDEN GROVE:
Eggs-Cavation will be Atlantis Play Center: 13630 Atlantis Way on the north end of Garden Grove Park on Saturday, April 12th 11:00am-2:00pm.  This event offers kid-friendly activities including arts and crafts, face painting, carnival games, a moon bounce and petting zoo.  Egg hunts will take place in age groups and the event is limited to the first 300 children.  Tickets are on sale at the Recreation Counter located on the first floor of City Hall: 11222 Acacia parkway.  $7 for children ages 3-10, $2 for spectators 11 and up.  Tickets will go on sale at G.G. City Hall March 24th.

HAWAIIAN GARDENS:
Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 19th 11:00am – 3:00pm at Furgeson Elementary School: 22215 Elaine Ave in Lakewood.  Activities include pony ride, petting zoo, moon bounce, train ride and more.

 

HUNTINGTON BEACH:
The City of Huntington Beach Community Services Department will host their 24th Annual Easter Hunt 9:00am-2:00pm Saturday, April 19th at Central Park Sports Complex.  The event will feature an egg hunt, game booths, entertainment, exhibits, pictures with the Easter Bunny and refreshments.

 

IRVINE:
The Rabbit Run 5K takes place on Sunday, April 13th 9:00am at Concordia University (1530 Concordia West) in Irvine.  Grab a few eggs and goodies along the way or linger your way through.  Either run, hunt, jog, stroll, roll or trike it.  Families can bring strollers, bikes, tricycles but kids must wear helmets.  Kids can ride scooters, bikes or be pulled in wagons.
 
Easter Party at Pretend City (29 Hubble, Irvine) on April 19th from 10:00am to 5:00pm.  Activities include a visit from the Easter Bunny, A.M. Activities: 10:00a.m. (sharp) Easter Egg Hunt

LA HABRA:
13th Annual Spring Family Eggstravaganza will take place at La Bonita Park (1440 W. Whittier Blvd.) on Saturday, April 12th 8:00am-12:00pm and will include game booths, inflatable jumpers, arts and crafts, visits with the Easter Bunny and a Community Resource Fair.  New this year will be a helicopter egg drop at 9:30 a.m.!  The egg hunt schedule is as follows: 9:15 a.m. – ages 0-4 years; 9:30 a.m. – ages 5-8 years; 9:45 a.m. – ages 9-12 years; 10:00 a.m. – teens & adults.

 

LADERA RANCH :
On Saturday, April 12th  the Spring Celebration in Ladera Ranch will be 11:00am-2:00pm at Founders Park and includes an egg scramble, tykes and toddler egg scramble, visits with Mr. & Mrs. Peter Rabbit, games, crafts and more.

LAGUNA HILLS:
A late night “Flash Light Egg Hunt” will take place at the Laguna Hills Sports Complex: 25555 Alicia Parkway April 11th 7:30pm – 9:30pm for ages 7-14.  Residents: $5, non-residents $10.  There will be hundreds of eggs and a raffle into the evening. Space is limited so register early – in person at the Laguna Hills Community Center before 4/11/14.
 
Mr. Bunny & Friends will be on April 12th from 10:00 – 11:00am at the Laguna Hills Community Center Soccer Fields: 25555 Alicia Parkway. Activities will include bounce houses, a big slide, games, face painting and an organized egg hunt. Registration is required (949) 707-2680

 

LAGUNA NIGUEL :
Saturday, April 19th from 9:00am-12:30pm, Laguna Niguel Parks and Rec will host their annual Bunny Blast at Chapparosa Park: 25191 Chapparosa Park Road.  The event will include a bounce house, strolling Easter Bunny, petting zoo, pony rides and face painting.  Admission to the event is $7 age 3-12, $1 age 13+.  There will NOT be an egg hunt at this event. Purchase pre-sale tickets in the Parks and Recreation Office April 7-18 and save $2 per ticket!

 

LAKE FOREST:
Bunny Blast will be held Saturday, April 12th from 11:00am-3:00pm at El Toro Park: 23701 Los Alisos Blvd.  The event will include game booths, crafts, face painting, giant ferris wheel, petting zoo, pony rides, balloon artist, egg scramble, live entertainment and Alice and her Wonderland friends will be available for pictures.
 
Spring Skate Egg Hunt at The Park will be on Saturday April 19th at Etnies Skate Park of Lake Forest (20028 Lake Forest Drive) from 11:00am-1:00pm.  Visit the Skateboarding Bunny, bounce houses, an egg hunt and crafts. $5 Donation per person

 

LA MIRADA:
There will be an Easer Egg Hunt at La Mirada Regional Park on April 19th from 9:00am – 11:00am.  Activities will include: egg hunt, games, crafts, music, balloon artists, bounce house and petting zoo.
 
LOS ALAMITOS:
Spring Carnival will take place Saturday, April 19th from 9:00am – 11:00am at Little Cottonwood Park: 4000 Farquhar Ave.  The free event will include egg hunt, carnival games, face painting, bounce house, food trucks and more.

 

MISSION VIEJO:
Bunny Days will be Saturday, April 19th from 11:00am-3:00pm on the village green at Oso Viejo Park (24932 Veterans Way) The event will include carnival game booths, spring crafts, “Toddler Town” face painting and pony rides.
 
The Family Easter Fair will be held Saturday, April 19th at Mount of Olives Church (24772 Chrisanta Drive) 11:00am – 3:00pm. The event will include an egg hunt, shark slide, face painting, petting zoo, a photo booth and much more.

 

NEWPORT BEACH :
At Fashion Island, children are invited to take pictures with the Easter Bunny in the spring garden on Atrium Lawn through April 19th from 11am-6pm daily.

 

NEWPORT COAST:
There will be a traditional Easter Brunch at Pelican Hill on Sunday, April 20th 10:00am – 4:00pm that will include an Easter Egg Hunt, bunny visits, face painting and balloon twisting.

ORANGE :
Open Saturday March 29th through Saturday, April 19th the Irvine Park Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza is fun for children ages 2-12 with egg hunts, moon bounce, face painting, cookie decorating, carnival games, and visits with the Easter bunny.  Also, ride around the park on the train.  Tickets must be purchased the day of the event.  $3-$5 admission to Irvine Park.

 

PLACENTIA:
Saturday, April 12th, 9:00am-1:00pm celebrate the return of the Easter Eggcitement & Spring Carnival. Bring the whole family as kids 12 and under are able to take part in the Easter egg hunt. SANTA ANA:
Cabrillo Park Easter Egg Hunt Hunt will be SaturdayApril 19th at 9:00am for kids ages 0-12 years old.  There will be music, breakfast and an egg hunt and gospel presentation by Calvary Church.  Location: Cabrillo Park in Santa Ana

 

SANTA FE SPRINGS:
Easter Egg Hunt & Carnival will be held on Saturday, April 19th at Los Nietos Park: 11143 Charlesworth Road from 8:30am – 11:30am.  Children can participate in crafts, games, and the ever so popular Easter Cake Walk.  Pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available for $2 each.  The Easter Egg hunt begins at 10:00 a.m. and in conducted in the order of the age groups Ages 3 – 4, 5 – 6, 7 – 8, 9 – 12, 12 – 17 Bring your entire family and enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast, beginning at 8:00 a.m., sponsored by the Sister City Youth Ambassadors.

 

STANTON:
Stanton Community Foundation will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19th from 9:00am-11:00am at Stanton Park: 7800 Katella Ave.  Activities include an egg hunt, visits from the Easter Bunny, resource fair, candy walk, face painting and a pancake breakfast.

 

TUSTIN :
The City of Tustin will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19th at 8:30-11:30.  Location: Tustin Sports Park: 12850 Robinson Drive.  Activities will include Easter Egg Hunt, pony rides, game booths, petting zoo, live entertainment and photos with the Easter Bunny.
